MEDICAL DIRECTOR AND OPHTHALMOLOGIST

Dr. Eric J. Kahle is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. He received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Biology from the University of Illinois, and graduated with honors from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. Dr. Kahle then performed a year of internship in the General Surgery Department at Rush Presbyterian-St. Lukes Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his Ophthalmology training at this same institution, serving as Chief Resident his final year. He practiced for two years in Danville, Illinois with an internationally known cataract and refractive surgeon. Dr. Kahle then joined Eye Associates as owner in 1998. Dr. Kahle is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has special interest in the treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes, and eyelid abnormalities. Dr. Kahle takes pride in providing to patients the latest advances in eye care, which have been safely tested.
OPTOMETRIST

Dr. Karin N. Boehm was raised in Palmdale, California. After completing her Associates Degree at Antelope Valley College, she transferred to Northern Arizona University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Zoology. She returned to California to attend Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, where she earned her Doctorate Degree in Optometry. In 2003, she moved to Sonoma County to practice Optometry. Specializing in medical eye examinations, contact lenses and glasses, Dr. Boehm enjoys the personal aspect of getting to know her patients and providing the best possible care. Dr. Boehm is a member of the American Optometric Association, the California Optometric Association, and the Redwood Empire Optometric Association. In her off time, Dr. Boehm enjoys photography, the outdoors, concerts, and theater performances, and most of all, spending time with her husband and daughter.
OPTOMETRIST

Dr. Gregory Perrone was raised in many locations, as his father served in the United States Air Force. Dr. Perrone eventually landed in Sonoma County, which has been his home for over 20 years. Dr. Perrone received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Microbiology from the University of California, Riverside, and then went on to get his Bachelor of Science in Physiological Optics and a Doctorate in Optometry from the University of California Berkeley. After receiving his degree, Dr. Perrone completed a residency in Low Vision Care at the VA hospital in Connecticut. Along with taking care of healthy eyes, the most rewarding part of his career is helping people with visual challenges through glasses or contact lenses. Dr. Perrone enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and son.
OPTOMETRIST

Dr. Mary Lechner grew up in Pennsylvania. She attended Wayne State University in Detroit Michigan and University of California at Berkeley from which she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physiological Optics as well as her Doctor of Optometry Degree. Dr. Lechner has practiced optometry in numerous settings throughout her career. She enjoys all aspects of eye care – particularly educating patients about their eye health, visual requirements and optical options available. Northern California has been home to Dr. Lechner for over 35 years. She enjoys using recycled and reclaimed objects and materials to make furniture and art. She and her husband, a guitar maker, also enjoy designing and making wood furniture.
